Kevin T. Mintz, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications of Genetics and Genomics at Stanford University. Born with cerebral palsy, his research focuses on disability bioethics and genetics with particular emphasis on the relationship between rare and undiagnosed disease communities and disability community. More broadly, Dr. Mintz's scholarship explores the mechanisms underlying structural ableism in medicine and biomedical research. His work has appeared in a variety of academic journals and newspapers, including Genetics in Medicine, the Hastings Center Report, Pediatrics, and the Los Angeles Times.
