Evan Beacom is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School practing hospital medicine. He is currently a candidate for the MA in Clinical Ethics at Georgetown University. In addition to work in medical education, his interests in philosophy of medicine include the role of embodiment in clinical encounter, virtues in medical practice, evidence and inference in medicine, and the relationship between medicine and the sciences.
