Christina Halstead, BS (she/her) is a fourth year medical student at University of Virginia School of Medicine, currently applying into Pediatrics Residency. As a researcher of adolescent clinical ethics, Christina has developed a passion for improving clinical care provided to gender diverse patient populations, evaluating informed consent strategies and efforts, and advocating for teen patients to exhibit more agency over medical decision making. Christina has a particular passion for analyzing current practices to better understand how healthcare professionals can provide the utmost ethical, humanistic patient care to the pediatric population and its caregivers. In her free time, Christina enjoys the plentiful hikes, restaurants, and outdoor activities that Charlottesville, Virginia has to offer.
