Jared N. Smith (he/him), PhD is a clinical ethics fellow at Baylor College of Medicine, consulting through Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center and embedded in a medical decision-making grant for left ventricular assist device (LVAD) therapy. He earned his doctorate in philosophy from the University of California, Riverside. His dissertation, The Moral Psychology of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, was supported in part by the University of California Humanities Research Institute. His research interests broadly concern moral psychology, clinical ethics, neuroethics, human agency, and medical decision-making.
