Michael M. Burgess is Professor Emeritus, and former research Chair in Biomedical Ethics in the School of Population and Health Sciences, at the University of British Columbia, Canada. His current work extends public deliberation to AI in agriculture, animal welfare in food policy, biobanking policy, medically assisted dying, and theoretical and methodological work on deliberative public engagement.
