Miranda Waggoner (she/her) is Associate Professor of Sociology at Rice University. Her work aims to broaden and inform conversations in bioethics and health policy, especially in the areas of reproduction and women’s health. She is author of the award-winning book The Zero Trimester (University of California Press), and her recent articles have appeared in outlets such as American Sociological Review and American Journal of Bioethics. Waggoner’s work has been supported by the Greenwall Foundation Faculty Scholars Program, and she is also the recipient of a CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation.
