Sundeep Grandhe, MD, MBBS, HEC-C, HMDC, is the CEO and Senior Medical Director of Central Valley Hospice Palliative Medicine and a Fellowship Candidate in Bioethics at the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics. He is a board-certified physician specializing in hospice, pain, and palliative care. Dr. Grandhe also holds certifications as a Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C) and from the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board (HMDCB). He has extensive experience in program development, interdisciplinary team leadership, and clinical ethics.
In his current role, Dr. Grandhe leads efforts to provide compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with serious illnesses, focusing on symptom management, advance care planning, and holistic support. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding hospice and palliative care services, improving quality of care, and developing innovative approaches to patient care.
Dr. Grandhe is deeply committed to educating healthcare teams and advancing palliative care through policy development and research. His previous roles include serving as Chief Medical Officer for Doctorpedia, where he created educational content for healthcare providers and patients. He has contributed to research on non-opioid pain management and the use of virtual reality for symptom relief in palliative care.
With advanced training from Harvard Medical School and UCLA, Dr. Grandhe brings a global perspective to healthcare, having completed his medical education in both India and the United States. His expertise in clinical care and ethics makes him a strong advocate for integrating medical and ethical considerations into patient care.
Dr. Grandhe frequently lectures on topics at the intersection of palliative and critical care and remains dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients through both direct care and systemic improvements.
